Melvin Joseph has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing of life insurance products, first with LIC and subsequently with Kotak Life, Bajaj Allianz Life and SBI Life. He resigned from the comfort of a high position and income to set up an independent financial advisory service called Finvin Financial Planners. He believes in providing ethically sound advice to his customers. His objective is to offer unbiased financial advice at affordable prices and to help in spreading financial literacy in the country. He also has a passion to teach other sales persons to do the same.


At Bajaj Allianz, he headed the Madurai branch and led the branch to be one of the top performers in the company. When he joined SBI Life as Regional Sales Manager (South – 1), his region became the No. 1 region of SBI Life. Melvin’s outstanding performance included an achievement of 664 MDRT qualifiers in the year 2007. He was then promoted and given charge of a new vertical and was the Country Head for Institutional Alliances at SBI Life.


Melvin Joseph has won many competitions in his service career and has toured Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, UK, France, Amsterdam, Belgium and Malaysia during this period, as winner in various contests announced by the company.
